No guessing.

A nice dose for those of us who like "Red Cat"! Thank you.
#3: Petra Lassen (stjarna) on Feb 24, 2009
No guessing needed, but it was kinda tricky for a while.

I love the progression and sense of movement.
#5: Teresa K (fasstar) on Feb 24, 2009 [SPOILER]
Nice sense of motion. I had to use "red cat" logic on the right.
#6: Arduinna (arduinna) on Feb 24, 2009 [HINT] [SPOILER]
That right kitty was crazy tricky! I had to use that logic described in Jan's advanced logic techniques where you add up the number of squares left in an area (there must be 4 red squares within these 10 spaces, or whatever) and then use that to eliminate some of the possibilites. I feel very proud that I was able to solve it that way! But, I'm not surprised that this has a "may need guessing rating" so far. Hopefully, I helped sway it the other way!

Red cat logic!!! Yes, I think I used it too, maybe even w/o knowing it. We know what the red cat's head looks like.

Ditto Teresa.

I'm still at sea when we are talking about "guessing". I'm a purist. I could have solved this in a trice...except I wanted to solve it by logic alone. I had to use "reduction logic" which I call guessing.

Cute visual...wish you'd have made it "completely solvable by logic alone", Jota!

Ummmm..."red cat logic" makes it easily solvable...but I'm pretty sure that logic is illegal lol. PuLEEZe keep making Red Cat puzzles...I'm a big fan!.....ahem....how about "Red Cat Meets a (lobster...a lion...a sea turtle(now that's a visual...does Red Cat do wet fur? lol)

Ozymoe: why me?
#11: vindersloon (vindersloon) on Feb 26, 2009 [SPOILER]
Ozymoe, youre suggestions aren't easy...But you never know what red cat is capable of...
#12: Gator (Gator) on Jul 30, 2009 [HINT]
I think you have to look too many steps ahead for some of the contradictions I have found. So I would classify this one as guessing.
#13: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Jul 30, 2009
Wow... a puzzle in which Gator says it requires guessing but several others didn't? Amazing.

Very cute and fun to solve.
