I'm saddened that the 80s are considered "another generation". Sure, it was 40 years ago, but still! :)

Aurelian, definitely watch the video, for some classic 80s cheese (with the men wearing as much makeup as the women, and the "nerdy, straitlaced" woman who magically becomes beautiful when she lets her hair down and takes off her glasses).

The singer is Adam Ant, and the adverb is Adam-Ant-ly.

Oh, then it was my generation, just a few years before I was born. 80s and 90s are both part of the millennial generation, but I was born in 90.

Edit: Also, I got a minute and a half in, and I'm done. Last time I saw something with that much cheesiness, I sent it back to the chef for more macaroni.

Just kidding; I'd never do that. The only food I ever sent back was a moldy apple fritter. Never went there again. But that video was just... not my thing.

My three oldest siblings are Boomers, and my older sister and I are GenX. My daughter is a Millennial. Since my oldest sister is 11 years older than I, I heard a lot of music that others my age didn't.
This song, however, was in my high school years, so it's stuck in my brain forever. On a doctor's visit the nurse asked if I smoked or drank. When I said "don't drink, don't smoke," we both said at the same time "what do you do?"

I guess I'm just an oldtimer.

Man, I hadn't heard that song in an age. (And I, too, thought this was looking like Robert Smith for most of the solve.)
