Priceless adverb. Still smiling.

Oh, come on. Less than one hour after I set the solvability to moderate lookahead, not only has the server forgotten that, but one (trolling) rater has voted this trivial. This is a tad annoying.

Thanks, Lollipop. (Unless you're the trolling voter ;)

Nope, I'm not. I sometimes forget to rate a puzzle, but I have *never* trolled a rating.

Whew. Of course, since you got the pun, presumably if you *were* the rater, you'd have rated it as 4&4 instead of 3&3.

(I knew it wasn't you. You're too nice.)

vier/fier/fear...less
OK, I get it.
Cool.
(And I don't troll, btw.)

A well done puzzle. I don't blame you for being irritated. I had some idiot giving my puzzles all one's shortly after I posted them for a long time. I finally got them to give up by giving myself 2's as soon as I posted a puzzle. I took all their fun away. Everyone kept saying not to worry about it, it would even out. Maybe so, but it still rankled.

Very cool puzzle, Joe. That is also one of my pet peeves, whether I see a low rating on my own or on others, especially when they're good ones. "Don't let the trolls rain on your parade," she said dryly.

So, now I must understand not only English, but German too ...

So I'm gathering that the pun has something to do with pronunciation, but I know next to nothing about German except that 9 means no. Would some kind Deutsche-speaking soul please explain?

Aurelian, I don't know any German either, but I looked up "counting in German" and got it immediately.

An English translation might help.

"One, two, three, five," counted Tom fourlessly.

Ahh. That explains it.
