Maybe not the only, Norma, but one of the few! TBS has had a 24hr marathon of A Christmas Story each Christmas Eve to Christmas for the last 20 years.
We first saw it in 1985, two years after it was made.

I didn't intentionally not watch it. But I doubt I'll watch it after all these years.

I'm not sure why not having seen it before now would make you not want to see it. Considering it's about a childhood experience of Christmas in the 40s, it's not like it has become dated. A good movie is a good movie whenever.

It's really terrific! Witty and nostalgic, and Peter Billingsly at the height of his far-sighted cuteness.

Great puzzle. One of my favorite Christmas movies, but I don't remember the line about the grizzly bears. I will watch for it this year!
