It was a let down, after the live action version featured on the old Sid&Marty Kroft supershow, called Wonderbug.
The cartoon version completely lacked Wonderbug's alter ego/secret identity, Schlep Car (a dilapidated beater whose voice always sounded like he was sick) and the best part of the old show was when they would honk Schlep's magic horn and the car turned into this tricked out VW dune buggy with metal flake paint called Wonderbug.
Look up Wonderbug from the Krofft Supershow. The original KITT!
