At first I thought it would be a little dog bringing its toy. This is adorable!

Is the kitten named Gremlin?

"The kitten was originally black, but at this resolution, there's not enough room for a separating white line. I was going to use blue, but then the kitten blended into the mother too much. Someone else has the red cat monopoly, so that leaves green" is one line of reasoning I didn't use.
