King Charles II of England gave charters to both Connecticut and Pennsylvania, unfortunately overlapping them. Connecticuters settled the town of Wilkes-Barre in what is now Pennsylvania in 1769. Pennsylvanians tried to kick them out twice before the Revolution. And then once more after it.

A little known fact, but interesting. My sister is currently reading about Dolly Madison and how the British set fire to the White House. So today was my day to learn a little early American history.

So I'm a native "Connecticuter" (Land of Steady Habits, Constitution State, Provisions State and of course the Nutmeg State) and of course I root for the closest we have to a home team (Patriots) ... so did my home team lose to my other home team in the Super Bowl?
