Puzzle Description:

LEGO was submitted for patent July 28, 1958. It still is made to the same specs so all LEGO works together from then to now.

After careful line and color logic
el 6 r15 = c22-23, c32 w
ll & careful cl gets most of the rest leaving 44 unknowns in the upper left
el 4 c2 places it
ll & cl to finish.

Also from Uncle Wiki: [The name Lego is] derived from the Danish phrase 'leg godt', which means "play well"

Tough solve. I saw it early on, but still had to pick at it one at a time.

Just saw a Lego documentary on Netflix.
Apparently the creators pronounce it "LEE-go" but I always had heard it pronounced in the USA as "LAY-go" but what do we know.

Nothing hurts quite like stepping on a Lego brick in the dark...
One very smart guy is creating slippers made of Lego, so if you step on a stray brick your foot doesn't get hurt - you just get a little taller.

I've always heard it pronounced "LEG-o" by Americans. The European pronunciation is similarly with a short e, but the European short e is about halfway between our e and our ee.

Ahh, the old Egg vs Egg. My husband teases me for pronouncing them like AYG (or EIG, for you pre-vowel-shift folks), but what can I say? I grew up in Texas and Alabama.

Great illustration. Tough puzzle. Fun solve even though I did guess a couple of times.

On a somewhat related note, every time I see an ad for LEGO City, I want to pronounce it like Velocity.
