Puzzle Description:

In college, I was taking a nap with my window open (no air-conditioned dorms back in the day), when my sleep was disturbed by a fluttering and a "plop!" I thought, "A bird!" and rolled over to catch it. As my eyes opened, with my hands an inch away from the creature, I realized it was a bat. The next thing I knew, I was in the hallway. I have no recollection of how I left the room; quite possibly levitation, or the force of my scream propelled me out the door. The security police wouldn't come over, sure it was just a college prank. Eventually, we threw a blanket over the poor thing and returned it to its proper sphere of operations. Neither bat nor co-ed were harmed at any point in this procedure (although my initial response may have shattered some eardrums down the hall).
