Puzzle Description:

Boa playing her bagpipes. Something just seems right about a constrictor playing an instrument that is squeezed.

#1: CB Paul (cbpaul) on Sep 11, 2017 [SPOILER]

I started out thinking "bagpipes", but couldn't see a human shape in there. I got about 15 rows up from the bottom and thought, "a snake playing bagpipes?" Now I'm about 30 rows up and have the upper left corner, and sheesh! This is pretty damn cool! Marking "spoiler" just in case I'm right.

Thank you cbpaul! And yes, you are right, but you may have already discovered that by the time you read this.

'Tis a bonny bright boa!

Kristen, I figured someone would bring that up, and I am happy to explain. I looked up pictures of boas and they were all brown. We don't have brown, black didn't allow me to color her the way I wanted, and I really wanted to use red in the bagpipes. So the snake had to be green. I know she is inaccurate, but you do what you've gotta do to make the best of it.

When you have a snake playing the bagpipes, the color doesn't seem to be the worst inaccuracy. I think it needs a kilt.

HOW DO YOU PUT A KILT ON A SNAKE?! (lol, I'm not really freaking out. I just wanted to post a funny reaction that would have portrayed itself better with the right inflexion in my voice.) Now that my parenthetical interruption has "kilt" the effect - hee hee - I'm actually thinking on it hypothetically. How would one go about getting a kilt on a snake? Wouldn't it just slip off...?
#7: John Macdonald (perlwolf) on Sep 12, 2017 [SPOILER]
Aurelian, obviously the snake has to wear no slip under the kilt.

Hmm, we could put it on her body just above where she starts to thicken... But then it might look like a cute tartan capelet instead of a kilt. At least it would give her the illusion of a gracefully long neck.

oh my goodness, you guys! the comments constrict me with laughter! The puzzle was fun to do as was trying to figure out the image. I got the snake, and thought that's an awfully long tongue...wait, it's squeezing...duh, those are gonna be bagpipes!! VERY NICE picture!

Rofl! I am on cloud nine from all these puns!

I was just using some alliteration (with a Scottish flair)! You must have forgotten about the green tree boa. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emerald_tree_boa

The rosy boa http://www.arkive.org/rosy-boa/charina-trivirgata/ comes in many fashionable colors. :)

Ooooooo, those are gorgeous snakes. I especially like the black and white rosy boa. But I am happy that my emerald tree boa is not the wrong color. ^-^ (She's just missing her uniform.)

I enjoyed the solve and LOVE the image!

Surely, he must be playing Danny Boa on the bagpipes?

Oh Danny Boa, the pipes the pipes are calling
From den to den and down the mountainside
The summer's gone and all the snakes are crawling
It's you, it's you must go and I must bide...
