Puzzle Description:

This is what we saw on vacation this week. The cement block that was holding the support pole for the chairlift (the black circle) had an animal stretched out in the shadow enjoying a bit of cooler air. Our vacation spot runs the chairlift year round for either skiing or hiking at the top of the mountain.

Is that a beaver?

It was most likely a groundhog, but possibly a beaver. We didn't realize it was laying there until we were super close to the pole and it was gone on our return trip down the mountain after our hike.

That's funny. I love seeing wild animals take advantage of manmade structures, like it was put there for them. I have seen squirrels relax stretched out on fences and I love it. They're too cute!
