Good puzzle.
I have puzzled many elephants, but always silhouettes.
Very nice.

Wow! As soon as I knew what this was, I kept thinking that I couldn't see how it was going to turn out very well but it is absolutely lovely! The style you used means that people can't guess the shape and you really don't get to enjoy how wonderful it is until you finally solve it. Very well done!

What a sweet elephant Jan. Nicely done too. It was very fun to solve.
Thanks! ^v^
#5: Scylla Kat (scyllacat) on Feb 23, 2008 [SPOILER]
What a happy smiling elly-funt! I guess he makes up for the more cynical Republican-type pachyderm in the earlier puzzle.
#6: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Sep 18, 2008
Thanks for a fun puzzle.

I thought it was going to be the World Trade Center towers, even after I had solved it halfway...
#9: Jan Wolter (jan) on Nov 11, 2008 [SPOILER]
The WTC? If there is any event I associate "never forget" with, it's the Holocaust, though that'd be harder to depict in a PBN puzzle.
#10: Jota (Jota) on Dec 2, 2008
Right on Jan on # 9 and on this puzzle. Thanks!

Neat elephant. For some reason I had an awful time with the trunk. I think I kept wanting to put a square where I wanted it, not where it was suppose to go.
#12: Byrdie (byrdie) on Sep 15, 2009
I really like it.
#13: Diana W (aeris) on Feb 3, 2011 [SPOILER]
I thought it was going to be 9/11 too, but this is nicer. It is a much better quality elephant than the one in the previous puzzle. He looks happy. :)

I thought elephant right away. Those creatures truly do have long memories. I remember seeing a story about an elephant who as a youngster was separated from her heard for over 30 years. She ended up at a facility that happened to care for one of her older herdmates; they immediately recognized each other and were apparently quite happy about the reunion.

He does look happy! For some reason as I was solving this one I kept thinking about the "Pink Elephants on Parade" from Dumbo.

How logical.
