I love the name of the club. Imagine being both "royal" and "ancient." The site that was my inspiration: http://www.randa.org/en/RandA.aspx

Update: I re-read the rules and found out my puzzle is too big. There is no way to make it smaller and still have the details...So I guess it will be an illegal entry.

Ah, I thought you'd volunteered to become a judge, and this was the way you were going to break the news. :)

Should I change the name? I don't want to be pushy. Here's the whole story: I did Jota's illegal golf entry that was meant to encourage others to make entries. I thought: Okay, I don't know a thing about golf, but I'll give it a go. I googled "history of golf" and got the above site. When I saw the clubhouse, I knew that's what I wanted to do. So I worked 2-3 hours making the puzzle and posting it. THEN I re-read the rules. ARRGH!..I was so mad at myself. I wanted Jota to know that I really tried to create an entry, so I added "illegal." But I'll take it off if I'm not suppose to use it.

I think it's fine. That's just been the traditional use of "illegal" entries, when they're created by the judges, who are ineligible.

The 40x40 rule was created by Sylvain "qwerty" because his screen couldn't handle much larger puzzles. Our current judges may or may not let this one slide, since it's your first entry. :)

It certainly wouldn't bother me if they let this one fly,I think it's great. If not, don't change the title,I see nothing wrong with it.:)

I loved the puzzle, the solve and the fact that you might be a judge!
It breaks Sylvain rules, but I'm willing to let it "slide".
I'm an open minded person, have you noticed it!?
And BTW you can use the illegal any time you want :-)
Thanks Synthia
