Puzzle Description:

At first, the morning had been rainy, but by nine the sun was out and shone prettily through the new maple leaves. There was no excuse to avoid the walk I had planned as part of my new resolution. In the park, the ground was muddy, especially the large swath where trees had been mowed down for the new sewer line. I slogged through sucking mud and dodged puddles and wished I had worn boots instead of sneakers. After ten or fifteen minutes I sat on a mossy rock to rest. It's pretty there, deep woods right in the middle of our suburban town, dots of sunlight and the humid morning exhalation of trees and earth. Brown and green and dead quiet. A dog would be useful at a time like this.

I peeked at the image and read the story, and at no point did I feel like I was wasting my time. Very nice Susan. It's only dumb if you're an imbecile and can't understand it karl, which you apparently are. Don't despair karl, there's probably hope for you with the right help.:)
