Puzzle Description:

Sorry, I misspoke - Hobbit-forming. This is the logo of John Ronald Reuel Tolkien - I was fascinated by it when I read The Hobbit as a child. This got me interested in logos. I made several for my own initials.

My puzzles can be hobbit-forming: http://webpbn.com/find.cgi?search=1&author=infrapinklizzard&unqual=1&undiff=1

just watched the new hobbit movie this morning....

my fav books as a kid. I'd read and re-read every year. I was mesmerized just looking at the map. lol The Simarillion blew my noodle when I first read it as an early teen. Too cool!

Groovy (I was gonna say "cool" but Kurt said it first). I was always sad that I couldn't think of anything cool to do with KEV, or KVC after I was married. Albrecht Durer also had a nice initial block, and my brother (initials MCV) signed his name "1105" for a while.

Very nice. I have to confess. Rather than go thru all the edge logic, etc. I just took a good hard look and filled in some squares that looked right and I was lucky and got it right.

Kurt, I must say I was a bit disappointed with the Hobbit "reboot". Radagast my @$$.

Kristen, somebody named Mim might've been happy in 1999. My initials are JAC and for a while I was a JAC of All Trades.

I can see why you had trouble making a "chop" out of your initials. There really isn't anything coherent to their structure. I made something kind of interesting out of your maiden monogram, but your married initials and monogram are a bit of a poser.

Norma, I can sympathize (a little), but you can do it! Reject the hedonism that is picture "logic"!

I never tried to make anything with my initials. C'mon. NRD ? Look at all the fun others could have at my expense.

I just wanted to have something cool to use to sign my paintings, or initial documents. :)
I could always do a small K & V inside a large C, but that's kind of meh.

I would tend to agree with you, there.

Awesome solve!

Fantastic puzzle, Joe. I enjoyed the challenge of the solve, although it took me awhile. I never realized the logo was his initials. Very neat. I can say neat because I'm that old. Or should I say neato!

Just saw the movie the other day. Loved it. Reminded me of when I read the book as a young adult.
