Puzzle Description:

Yet another American flag, hopefully a bit more challenging than most.

#1: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Dec 17, 2012 [HINT]

Color logic places all the black and blue. There are only a few red pixels that can be placed.

Edge logic on the 3 in c5 rules out r39-40. (If the 3 extended down into either of those rows, it would leave a block of one or two in c4, which conflicts with the 3 clue in that column.)

Edge logic on the 3 in c4 rules out r39-40 for the same reason (but one column over, obviously).

Then line logic to finish.

Now that's a great and unusual flag puzzle, extremely well done Joe. I made a Canadian flag in a puzzle, that was blowing as well. I thought I did a good job on that one,but yours took a lot of thought I bet. I love it.:)

Awesome! What a great image. Never would have thought of it. There have been a lot of USA flags, but none like this, I bet. How about it, Adam?
#4: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Dec 17, 2012 [SPOILER]
Agreed. This is the most unique perspective of a flag that I have seen yet. I don't even feel obligated to post the other flag puzzles because this is in a class by itself. :-)

Oh, and just as importantly, a nice solve, too.

Beautiful! From the title and the size I expected a kite, but this is even better.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone. After having done Yet Another American Flag Puzzle, I thought there must be a way to show one that would be recognizable and yet not boring.

Here's a puzzle I made after having done a stunningly hard 3-pixel French Flag Puzzle: http://webpbn.com/index.cgi?page=play.cgi%3Fid=8236

And for the unflappable, here's a list of all my puzzles:

Oh wow! An amazing solve AND an amazing image. I enjoyed the challenge, especially since i didn't have to resort to peeking at hints. :-)

This is one of my fav puzzles on the site...twas a pleasure to re-visit it! :)

I do tend to do that from time to time. Ignore the newer ones and re-visit some of my fav puzzs.
#26: Ailsa Hebert (bazette3) on Sep 24, 2020
Nice!
#27: Andrew Schultz (blurglecruncheon) on Jun 27, 2022 [HINT]
This was really well done. And the puzzle was a neat challenge too.

After the black/blue line logic, I actually went with each way logic on C40 R2-5. Since there's a 3 at the bottom, the 2 in R39 creates a 1 vertically. Then you roll up the reds.
