I probably missed the school bus a few times, but on the first day of 7th grade, starting junior high, the bus never came! There were probably a dozen of us at the bus stop, but no bus. We got to school 2 hours late, don't remember how we got there (couldn't walk, it was 4.5 miles away). The next year, a new school opened just past where our old bus stop was, so I got to walk to school for a few years.
no buses by me either, we walked every day, good one joel :)#13: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 9, 2012 [SPOILER]
4.5 miles,is that all Joel? I had to walk at least 5 miles up hill both ways,in gale force winds,on rocky terrain, with holes in my soleless shoes, that my mother couldn't afford laces for. Ah,good times, good times.lol.:)#14: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Sep 9, 2012

I thought this was a comet or something until I saw the perspective, which I agree is really neat.
These days bus trackers help us avoid that sort of thing (at least in the city) -- we can plan when to get started/get going and so forth. But it's still a bummer to miss a connecting bus!
