Great pick, Furface1. Anne is a Canadian icon. I remember watching her on "Singalong Jubilee" as long ago as the 1960s, and still take "Anne Murray Duets: Friends and Legends" along on long car trips.

Good one Joel,yes Anne is another Canadian legend,so is Celine Dion but no one seems to like her for some reason,she is a great singer though.

Celine's a bit over the top. She has enough fans to support a Vegas show, but she doesn't have the sheer likeability of Anne Murray.

I believe the proper term for Anne is "Canadian National Treasure" :)

Wow, thanks everyone for all the nice comments! I didn't think the image came out too good, but I was inspired by Aldege's challenge, and thought I'd give it a try. And I knew Anne Murray was a Canadian, so I thought some of you would appreciate that.

That song is perfect for my marriage. My wife and I met at a dance camp half a continent away from the city where we both lived. We'd grown up living a couple of blocks away from each other (but going to different schools). We still love dancing together, and both of our kids do too. When we go to a square dance, we fill half a square before anyone else gets to join with us.
