Puzzle Description:

mowing the lawn with two birds watching

#1: Sarah Andrews (sarah) on Jun 21, 2011 [SPOILER]

great image. I like the two birds. Our chickens run slightly behind and next to the mower so they can catch bugs.

Nice. That's one of my favorite chores! Is it just pareidolia, or did you make the clippings spell out "lawn" in the upper right?

#3: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Jun 21, 2011
so is the lawn mowing chore more fun if three birds are watching? or one? or none? because it says you least favorite chore is (and i quote): "mowing the lawn with two birds watching"

haha

yes it definitely says lawn and whats even cooler is that i just learned a new word "pareidolia" thanks

Pareidolia - when you want to spot ghosts, ufos, and pink elephants! ;) Hey, that might make a nice "word-of-the-day" puzzle. :)

Fabulous job Kevin, love the perspective, this is one of my favorite jobs,i hate weeding the gardens. The spelling out lawn in clippings is a very nice touch,as well as The Flock of Seagulls one of my favorite bands.lol.

I didn't notice the lawn letters; clever use of the cut grass. Aldege, I'm agree with you. Mowing is fun; weeding is endless and boring.

one bird watching would be ok; but two, that's just annoying. And yes, it does say lawn in grass clippings.

Thanks for a very nice entry Kevin!

Great puzzle! I don't mind mowing the grass but then again it only takes about 15 minutes!
#11: Sarah Andrews (sarah) on Jun 25, 2011 [SPOILER]
15 minutes!!! Ours takes 4 1/2 hours - the tractor broke so we have to do the pastures with the riding mower.
#12: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Jun 26, 2011
thanks for entry, Kevin
#13: Byrdie (byrdie) on Jun 26, 2011
Why would anyone mow their pastures?! Cutting it with the riding mower means you can't make hay with it. Cutting it removes majority of the food value. It's not a pasture, it's a lawn.
#14: Sarah Andrews (sarah) on Jun 26, 2011
We don't need hay because we got rid of our animals. We leave one section uncut for wild "critters" to live in. Also, cutting the pastures keep the snake population down and keeps volunteer trees from growing. Pastures and lawns are different-- the lawn, in front of the house, has a different type of grass.
#15: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Jun 26, 2011
got rid of your animals?????
#16: Sarah Andrews (sarah) on Jun 26, 2011
yeah, except for Mr B, Hennifer, some of the chickens, the guinea hen and the cats. My heart is broken.

Fun solve and I really like the two observers. What is in the upper right corner? A bush?
