Puzzle Description:
Geeksplosion: Tron Legacy is out on Friday!
#1: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Dec 15, 2010 [SPOILER]
Tron Legacy comes out Friday 20101217! Twenty eight years after the first, which I saw as a kid. It was even more eye-popping than Star Wars (though the plot was sillier.)#2: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Dec 15, 2010
Here's hoping they fixed the silliness and kept the eye candy!
The picture is of a Recognizer - the floating ships that chased Flynn around in the original movie.

haha blackcat#4: Minnie Fuerstnau (m.fuerstnau) on Dec 16, 2010 [SPOILER]
there was a movie called "Tron" that came out in 1982 and the sequel "Tron: Legacy" comes out in 2 days
Looking forward to the movie, too, Joe. It was quite the cutting edge then, and I'm happy they are using many of the original cast.#5: Andee (AndeeRC) on Dec 18, 2010 [SPOILER]
Funny coincidence- I was just finishing your puzzle when my husband called from the other room, "Here's the preview of that movie you were talking about."
Thanks for this and all of the puzzles you create.
Awesome. We're going on Christmas Day.#6: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Nov 28, 2011 [SPOILER]

Best Tron trailer. Ever.
Thanks for the comments, everyone. The movie was definitely as gorgeous as the first. (Relative to contemporary movies - the special effects of the first don't hold up to today's sophisticated young viewers.) And the plot wasn't as crammed-full of (often misused) technical mumbo-jumbo.
Funny trailer. These "Literal" parodies got big a few years ago. I remember seeing one of Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" video that made a lot more sense than the original. It even seems to have been shown in part on CNN.
Here's a link to Total Eclipse: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovEDhFfgdOo It is framed by a cat to keep it from YouTube's auto-censors, which unheedingly take down many legal parodies.
And here's a link to a vlogger's list of his top twenty literals - heavy on the 80s. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0nXymJ9TwI There's a list of them with links in the description under the video.
Oh, and here's a link to the original author's upload of the Tron trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCmeQaXuFig
