Yup, bugaboo, but only two bits of edge logic are needed.

Edge logic on c1 to start.

Note that you have to go over to c3 to find the limits. Since there are no 1s amongst the leftmost clues, we know that the 12 in c2 completely covers the 8 in c1. That leaves the 4,4 in c3. That means that there can be no block of clues of 3+ larger than 4 in a row within the 8's range.

That gets rid of r18-30. Not enough.

Note the 2|3|2 in r11,12,13. If the 8 went past r12, it would cause a block of 1 in c3, so r13-18 is also white.
The same happens in r4-6. It the 8 goes up past r5 it creates a conflict in c3 so r1-4 is white.

Line logic makes a bunch-o-black.


Then extended edge logic on the 5 in r29.

Use the same idea as above. Since there are only 3s in r28, the 5 must cross clues of 3+ in blocks of no more than three. Thus it must cross the 2 in c27. So r29c23 and left are white.

The rest solves with line logic.

Fun to solve, and I love the simplicity of the image.

Found to be logically solvable by Gator.

I like puzzles where the edge logic is not on the edge. :)
