Puzzle Description:

Che (pronounced tché) is a Spanish diminutive interjection (a vocative expression) commonly used in Argentina. A form of colloquial slang used in a vocative sense as "friend", and thus loosely corresponds to expressions such as "mate", "pal", "man", "bro", or "dude"; as used by various English speakers. As a result, it may be used both before or after a phrase: "Man, this is some good beer", or "Let's go get a beer, bro." It can be added to an explicit vocative to call the attention, playing the role of "Hey", for instance: "Che, Pedro, ¡mirá!", "Hey, Pedro, look!". Che is also utilized as a casual speech filler or punctuation to ascertain comprehension, continued interest, or agreement. Thus che can additionally function much like the English words "so", "right", or the common Canadian phrase "eh". For example, the famous Argentine revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara earned his nickname from his frequent use of the expression, which to his Cuban comrades, was a curious feature of his idiolect. As a result, Guevara is popularly known simply as el Che (the Che) in many Latin American countries.

I prefer seeing him like a heroe.
#3: Liz P (Lizteach) on Sep 30, 2010 [SPOILER]
I thought red would have been appropriate, but not because some see him as a villain.

I agree, but I think this is fun like this too.

Because nothing can ever be repeated.

Pretty much knew what the result was going to be by the time I had the outline completed. Nicely drawn. Not sure where I stand on red or blue.

Oh, I knew who it was when I saw "Ernesto." :) I was a little surprised when I saw the blue, not because I necessarily believe he was a bad guy (or much worse than any other lionized revolutionary), but because the iconic image always has red in it (and because he was, well, Red).

Thanks for the explanation of the name. It sounds affectionate. But I cannot forget he was a mass murderer. :(
The facts: Che Guevara was an international terrorist and mass murderer.
