Puzzle Description:

Did you really guess?

#1: Jota (jota) on Sep 18, 2010 [HINT]

Since I don't understand what the right part means ... I had to guess the last 2 pixels R34C12 and R35C11. I found this to be very entertaining, not very difficult and nice.

They are arrows pointing at black and white spaces.

joe, i tend not to even start multiple solution puzzles, but did this one just because it was your's. i was skeptical about "picture logic", but knew it would be worth the effort. i'm glad i did. fun to solve. thanks.

...oh, and that was the first multiple solution puzzle i've ever seen that could be considered "logically" solvable.

Ditto David.

Clever idea :)
Also impressive that it managed to be a text puzzle and still be a fun solve. Nice!

definitely a stretch
haha

At first I said, Yes, it's guessing! Then when I realized those were arrows and seeing what the arrows were pointing to (and from), I finally got it! Sometimes I'm so dense. Fun solve, Joe.
#8: Gator (Gator) on Sep 20, 2010 [HINT]
Yes, it is guessing as "Picture Logic" is not allowed in considering whether a puzzle is logically solvable or not. But I do like your take on picture logic. :)
#9: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Sep 20, 2010 [HINT]
I agree, Gator. Even in an obvious picture like this, you're still guessing whether or not I can be trusted.

Fun puzzle!

I enjoyed this puzzle a lot

Joe, what are you trying to do to me? I felt so nervous solving this one knowing I'd have to guess, but wondering what the heck you were up to! Fun solve. Glad it's over!

Gator, I don't view this one as any different than an author telling you that a symmetrical puzzle has a unique solution for it to be solvable. It is information outside of the clue-numbers that make it "logical". he just put the additional information into the puzzle rather than the title :)
#14: Gator (Gator) on Sep 30, 2010
I don't view this any different than a symmetry puzzle either...both are not solvable with logic. Both require to know something beyond just the clues. Different perspective perhaps, but it seems we are using the information in the same way to arrive at different conclusions. :)

Interesting...
