Never heard it called "red", but I do like my rubys and ambers.
Agree cbp - Red Hook ESB was my all-time favorite, then it disappeared. Then I discovered Belhaven Scottish Ale, which is THE most delicious of any malt beverage. My wife put me on a low-carb diet and all I can drink is Mich Ultra and Corona - yuck!
