Wonderful image! bugaboo, the bust is just very old and missing several pieces including her eyeball and parts of her ears. Great entry Kai!

One of the most beautiful portrait busts of all time, as far as I'm concerned. She looks particularly elegant in profile:

Okay, so it's a 3/4 profile ;)

Here's another, less elegant image of her, at right, with husband Akhenaten and their children:

Head-binding was popular at the time, which elongated the skulls and give the children an alien appearance.

This was a fascinating time in Egyptian art; it only lasted during the reign of Akhenaten, aka Amenhotep IV (before he abandoned the old gods and changed his name)
