Cute. I enjoy watching birds on the feeder. Sometimes the young ones sit on the deck railing and flutter their wings to let the adults know they want to be fed.

I so enjoyed this puzzle, Ron. It was just challenging enough without any frustration, and the image is lovely.

Adding to comment #5, it's funny to see the fully grown babies, that still have a bit of fuzzy down poking out between their feathers, and still flap their wings to be fed. Nearly-grown mockingbirds are especially funny, because they're such large birds.

We have young mocking birds and woodpeckers. The adolescents are so funny to watch. No fear. They walk around wherever they want, while the parents are squawking at them, "Not so close to the house!" "Get away from the door!" "There's huge animals in there!" But the young ones just keep walking around, looking at this, pecking at that. Just ignoring their parents. There must be some kind of "I really mean it!" cry that finally makes them comply. Ah, the joys of parenthood.
