This is definitely my biggest effort and I think a challenge. Please let me know how I'm doing.

Is it necessarily a bad thing that some guessing is involved? I would suppose that ideally no guessing would be involved, right? I'm still new at this and want to know how the need for a guess is looked upon. Thanks.

Guess may have been a bad word to use considering the sensitivity some people seem to have with that word. I consider logical trial and error to be a valid solving technique - I like puzzles that make me use more than just row and edge logic. IMHO, any puzzle with a unique solution, which this one has, is logically solvable regardless of how much trial and error it requires.

I enjoy these kinds of puzzles myself too. For purposes of determining solvability on this site though, there is a limit on what is defined as solvable. In general, besides line/color logic any of the advanced techniques can be used. We limit it to looking at most 2 moves ahead to determine a contradiction or commonality (there may be a few exceptions to this if the looking ahead is not hard). I'm always open to reversing a ruling if someone can show how they solved a puzzle using the above guidelines.
