I was curious about Water House too. I had never heard of this in all my years of talking to and visiting all the different tribes.

There are references to "water house" in some folk tales about a house made of water or a house under the water in the river. Here is one fable from the Navajo:

There is a clan of Hopi by the name Water House ("Patki" in Hopi). According to the Museum of Northern Arizona, which has researched Native history, one member of the Water House clan used the cloud as a symbol of their clan - the same symbol I used in this series for cloud.

Thanks to my further searching, I found two very nice Hopi symbols that I will include in this series.

I will see my Navajo friend at a national FASD conference next week. Her husband creates beautiful Navajo jewelry, and he may be with her, so I can ask them about the significance of the Water House.
