This is the ICQ logo for the mobile app. Anyone remember the little squeeky "Uh-oh" sound in ICQ? It was one of the first chat programs to hit the Internet.

Do any of you remember the early bulletin boards? I remember my son staying up for hours just to chat for a few minutes as they were so popular they limited the time you could chat and traffic was a little less in the middle of the night.

Aurelian, I would say that "Uh-oh" and "You've got mail" are in the same annoying computer sounds category. :-)

I tried a couple of chats back in college, but now I find the only social media I care to keep up with is Instagram. I only use it to keep in touch with friends I already know, mostly ones who have moved away. I suppose one could also call web pbn social media, because I'm currently communicating online with people in different states and countries. It's just not on the same scale, and it has a different main function.

Technology is moving very fast. I'm trying to stay current, but sometimes it's a bit overwhelming. My grandchildren keep me in the loop!
