i like all of the seemingly very minute details that add everything to the overall outcome of this puzzle

Thanks bugaboo,i kept adding relative things(e.g.basket of pins,box of detergent,shelf with bottle of softner)in an attempt to make it solvable by logic alone,but i still could not achieve that.Does it require a lot of guessing?

"a lot" is very relative
an advanced solver might say no and a novice might say yes
which one am i?

I would consider you the high exalted grand poobah of pbn puzzle solving,right up there with perhaps the master himself Gator(i'm not sure where Jan is positioned on the totem pole).This is why i asked you,because when i see a red question mark i keep telling myself,i bet bugaboo didn't have to do much guessing.

To all my fellow puzzlers out there in pbn land,i hope your not sick of this theme cause i keep remembering things in my life that i think are either cute or comical.If you are tired of them feel free to say so,also i'm sure a lot of you have some great memories and stories to show us,i for one would enjoy seeing and hearing about them.

Al, I guess a lot of kids (now of our advanced years) went through that particular learning experience. I don't remember doing it but my mother certainly still does - it hurt her more than it (seemed to) hurt me. We got rid of the ringer soon after to prevent a recurrence from me or my younger brother, so he managed to avoid it.
