for the longest time i was seeing a penguin
the last lower/central bit required extensive guessing
and of course has multiple solutions

Because of my prior knowledge of the image it was easier for me to guess. I tried to see how many times I had to guess a pixel to solve it using the helper and decided to add some pixels to make it easier.

still had to guess. there are still 3 possible solutions.
I'm not familiar with this character.

What/who the fsck is "A Nonny Mouse (lolaib)"?

that's weird Mark.Jeronimus

Mark - this one is very close to having a unique solution. A little more editing will make it solvable.

Mark, this is what happened:

When you are viewing comments, you may see your own user id code in the URL sometimes. Each user has their own code assigned by Jan's program. When someone (like Nonny Mouse) shares a webpbn link in the comments, and someone else (like you) follows that link, webpbn then switches you to the other id.

Jan is aware of this problem, and when he knows about it, he can edit the link so the id code is not part of it. If I see a link like that, I don't use it. I would make a remark in the comments or let Jan know. His email is in the FAQ.

If you close out webpbn and log in again, then you are okay. Maybe if you were to let Jan know, he might be able to fix it so it doesn't happen again.

Mark, this is a really nice image. And I love B&W puzzles. I hope you don't mind if I make a suggestion:

If you want to get more positive comments and higher quality ratings (and make us webpbn addicts happy), create your puzzles on an even grid, like 35 x 40, and try to avoid multiple solutions by editing your puzzle as necessary before publishing it.

If you would like to edit this puzzle so it is solvable, just add one more pixel at C24R24.

Oops, that's two suggestions. :-)

Thanks for the suggestions. This was my first puzzle, and now I already try to make them a multiple of 5. I don't want to add that pixel because I had a perfect picture in mind, but I already had to violate it with some extra pixels to prevent major guessing. This problem is only in a 4x5 area and if you apply the easy guessing method "black cells should touch" then there is no problem at the moment.

I also like B&W puzzles because the way color puzzles are implemented here is not the way I liked it to be. With B&W you always know white cells are between black cells, but with these color puzzles, it's not clear. I would have implemented it differently so that the algorithm is the same as for b&w puzzles, and the colors are just colored black ranges, like this: http://i56.tinypic.com/wqr39w.gif
