Joe, you probably just don't fix them right. Just about anything tastes good sauteed in butter and garlic.

Here's a trick. Before guests arrive for dinner saute some garlic and onion. The kitchen will smell so good when they arrive that they will say "wow, something smells delicious" Never fails.
