Is there a way to solve this other than the guess and check method?

I looked at this for a little bit, but I do not see a good way forward on solving this.

After the little initial line logic, I saw C5-7 has large clues and R1-5,11 all have single clues, so started there, but it took very deep lookahead (maybe guessing?):
If R5 C5-7 is white, deep lookahead in C4-7 leads to a contradiction. So R5 C1-4,8-25 is white.
If R4 C5-7 is white, deep lookahead in C4-7 leads to a contradiction. So R6 C1-4,8-25 is white.
If R11 C5 is white, deep lookahead in C5-7 leads to a contradiction. So R11 C5 is black.
If R5 C5 is black, deep lookahead in C5-7 leads to a contradiction. So R5 C5 is white.

Moderate lookahead: if R2 C6 is black, R2 C7 is white, C3 C6 is black, and C3 C7 is black, contradicting the 3 clue in C7, so R2 C6 is white.

Once I read Kristen's comments I understood what this was supposed to be and it is cute. Lots of guessing though.
