Why can't I stay logged in? Even when I check the "remember me" button, I automatically get logged out when I leave the site and am forced to log in each and every time I come back.

Next time you see the message that tells you you need to log back in, ignore it and click one of the links on the left and see what happens.

Ditto Teresa in #2. When I come back to PBN I see a message that my session has expired but I quickly noticed that the login area that usually appears at the menu bar was not there. I usually start with the forums and clicking on that link "restores" my expired session.

weird. I wonder what is up with that. Are you coming back using a bookmark that has an old session ID in it, like "sid=somejunk"?

I had that issue as well, I just right-clicked on my shortcut/favorite and went to properties, and removed everything after http://webpbn.com and haven't had the issue since. So definitely check what URL the favorite or shortcut goes to. If you use a bookmark in your browser, the quickest way to fix it is make sure the URL in the address bar is simply http://webpbn.com and add to favorites again (it should ask to replce the existing favorite/bookmark but if it doesn't, just delete the faulty one)

If you still have issues, I know I've had my browser consistently "forget" to look at cookies so I had to log into every website I visited every time I came back after closing/reopening the browser. I never did find a fix for that - I just kept dealing with it until it went away on it's own.

That was the trick. I had this site bookmarked forever so I deleted the old bookmark and added it to my favorites again so now I stay logged on even when I leave the site. Thanks to those for the tip.

Another little oddity is that this topic doesn't show up each time I go into the forum. I've only ever seen it twice since I posted it and I've checked for it well over a dozen times since then to see if it would show up. No big deal, but kind of odd.

If you click on forum, the default is to only show topics that have replies to them, so my guess is, it wasnt visible unless someone had replied to your topic... It is otherwise visible by selecting "view all topics" or whatever it's named (too lazy to go back and look, sorry).

Another lesson learned! I guess when I want to learn stuff I need to ask more questions.
