I created a new puzzle, and now I can't get the checker to successfully check it. Or if I try to publish it, it just sits there saying "Final Check...". Is anyone else having this problem?#2: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jul 15, 2009
It does let me save the puzzle. I also just checked the puzzle and it is completely line logic solvable.
I am experiencing the same problem I can save it without publishing, but if I try to check it in edit mode or try to publish it, the check program hangs. I tried using both Firefox and IE8.#3: Gator (Gator) on Jul 15, 2009
I would guess it has something to do with the new design code that was pushed up today.#4: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Jul 15, 2009
Ditto.#5: Jan Wolter (jan) on Jul 16, 2009
Opps. I'll get this fixed later this morning. Sorry.#6: Jan Wolter (jan) on Jul 16, 2009
OK, I think I've fixed it. Sorry about that. Inadequate testing.#7: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Jul 16, 2009
I still can't check or publish a puzzle. I wonder if anyone who tried to do a puzzle during the day yesterday will have the same problem. Maybe new ones can now be published, which were started after the problem was fixed, but all of us who created one yesterday will be out of luck.#8: Robyn Broyles (ginkgo100) on Jul 16, 2009
I went through untold anguish yesterday trying to finish my first WC puzzle, only to find myself unable to publish it. Probably just as well—a lesson in priorities for me (I stayed up way too late).#9: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Jul 16, 2009
The bug was still not fixed as of about 10 a.m. CDT, just FYI.
It works now. Thank you.#10: Jan Wolter (jan) on Jul 16, 2009
Puzzles saved while things were broken should oublish fine now, but if you have an old edit window sitting around from yesterday, that won't work. You need to save the puzzle, without checking publish, then leave the edit window and start a new edit session. You may need to encourage your browser to not load a cached version of the puzzle editor, maybe by flushing the browser cache or something.#11: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jul 16, 2009
That worked. Thanks, Jan!
